Aave Labs Proposes Transition to DAO Governance for Brand Management
Aave Labs has unveiled a proposal aimed at transitioning the ownership of its brand and intellectual property to a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). This initiative seeks to enhance oversight and management of the brand through community governance.
As part of the initial phase, Aave Labs plans to establish a legal entity in the Cayman Islands and appoint independent senior management for this entity. However, the transfer of ownership for trademark rights associated with the Aave brand, domain names, and code repositories will not occur in this phase. Instead, these transfers will require approval through multiple rounds of governance voting that will take place in the future.
