Analysis: Bitcoin implied volatility still at multi-year lows
PANews reported on October 5 that Greeks.live analysis indicates that although the market has seen some recovery over the past two months, options data shows that implied volatility is still at multi-year lows, only higher than the extremely quiet conditions seen this summer.
As the Bitcoin market and options market develop, the continued decline in implied volatility is a trend that could have been predicted many years ago. This structural change is breeding new trading opportunities, and buyer strategies will become increasingly competitive. It is hoped that Deribit, after merging with Coinbase, can bring more capital to the options market.
