Bitcoin ETFs Pull In $118.8M as Ether Funds Lose $201.9M on…

U.S. spot crypto exchange-traded funds delivered sharply divergent flows on October 6, with Bitcoin products attracting $118.8 million while Ether ETFs suffered $201.9 million of net redemptions and Solana funds lost another $3.7 million, according to finalized Farside Investors data.Across the three categories, that produced a combined $86.8 million net outflow, with heavy selling from BlackRock's flagship Ether ETF more than offsetting renewed demand for Bitcoin products. The session represented a reversal for Bitcoin after the category recorded $89.8 million of outflows on October 5. Ether, by contrast, extended its losing streak after $50.8 million exited the previous session, while Solana ETFs recorded their second consecutive day of withdrawals.

BlackRock Drives Bitcoin Back Into Inflows

Bitcoin's $118.8 million net inflow was overwhelmingly driven by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, which attracted $122.0 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT contributed another $7.8 million, while Grayscale's lower-fee Bitcoin Mini Trust, ticker BTC, recorded an $11.0 million outflow. Fidelity's FBTC, Bitwise's BITB, ARK 21Shares' ARKB, Franklin's EZBC, VanEck's HODL and Grayscale's GBTC all registered zero net flow. The result marked a substantial improvement from October 5, when withdrawals from ARKB of $85.2 million and FBTC of $74.5 million outweighed IBIT's $69.9 million inflow, leaving the category $89.8 million in the red.Bitcoin ETF flows have consequently swung sharply across recent sessions. The funds attracted $102.7 million on October 1 and $189.9 million on October 2, before turning negative on October 5 and returning to positive territory Tuesday. The renewed inflows came as Bitcoin traded around the mid-$85,000 range on October 6 amid a stronger U.S. dollar and persistent geopolitical uncertainty. LSEG data cited by Barron's placed Bitcoin around $85,297, down roughly 0.6% during the session.

BlackRock's ETHA Accounts for Entire Ether Outflow

Ether ETFs presented the opposite picture. The category recorded $201.9 million of net outflows, with the entire amount coming from BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust, ETHA. Every other tracked Ether ETF reported zero net movement for the session. That was a major acceleration from October 5, when Ether ETFs lost $50.8 million, comprising $31.9 million from ETHA and $18.9 million from Fidelity's FETH.Ether funds have now posted negative aggregate flows in every session since September 29. Farside's data show outflows of $2.8 million on September 29, $59.6 million on September 30, $55.4 million on October 1, $37.4 million on October 2, $50.8 million on October 5 and $201.9 million on October 6.Solana ETFs also remained under pressure, posting $3.7 million of net outflows. The entire withdrawal came from Grayscale's GSOL, while BSOL, VSOL, FSOL, TSOL, SOEZ and MSOL recorded no net flows. That followed a $9.2 million category outflow on October 5.The October 6 figures therefore reveal a clear divergence in institutional positioning: fresh capital returned to Bitcoin, while Ether experienced its largest withdrawal of the recent losing streak and Solana recorded another modest day of redemptions.
