Bitkub Launches Support for Tether's USDT on Aptos Network in Thailand

Thailand's Bitkub exchange has begun supporting Tether's stablecoin, USDT, on the Aptos network as of September 30, 2026. This integration allows Bitkub's over 5 million registered users to deposit and withdraw USDT directly through Aptos, enhancing the platform's functionality. Users are required to create a new USDT wallet address specifically for transactions on the Aptos network.

The move is expected to provide a more efficient and cost-effective way for users to transfer USDT, with transaction fees around $0.0005 and finality achieved in less than a second. This represents a significant improvement over traditional networks such as Tron, making it easier for users to manage their stablecoin transactions.

In conjunction with this rollout, Bitkub Academy has partnered with the Aptos Foundation to promote blockchain and Web3 education across Thailand and Southeast Asia. This educational initiative aims to bolster understanding and adoption of blockchain technologies in the region, coinciding with the growing acceptance of stablecoins as payment tools among Asian institutions.
