Bybit CEO Discusses Security Overhaul and Future Plans in Turkey

Ben Zhou, the CEO of Bybit, recently shared insights with Turkish media outlet Fintechtime regarding the company's response to a significant security breach in 2025. Zhou highlighted that the incident revealed vulnerabilities associated with third-party service providers and the concentration of assets within those systems. In light of this, Bybit has implemented a comprehensive overhaul of its security policies, adopting a zero-trust model and decentralizing its wallet architecture to enhance asset protection.

The new security measures include strengthening the isolation of local and global operations, which aims to minimize the risk of a single attack compromising a substantial amount of assets. Zhou emphasized that these adjustments are crucial for maintaining the integrity and safety of the platform as it continues to grow.

Looking ahead, Bybit is planning to expand its operations in Turkey by developing a super application that will encompass various services, including cryptocurrency trading, payment solutions, global transfers, and a range of investment products. This initiative reflects Bybit's commitment to enhancing its offerings in the Turkish market and adapting to the evolving needs of its users.
