Crypto market liquidations exceed $476 million in past hour as longs get crushed

PANews, October 15 – According to CoinGlass data, as of 10:35 today, total contract liquidations across the network reached $476 million over the past hour, including $457 million in long liquidations and $18.1968 million in short liquidations. Long liquidations accounted for over 95%, with the market showing a one-sided decline.

By exchange, Binance led with roughly $292 million in liquidations, about 62% of the market, followed by Bybit and Hyperliquid at $63.34 million and $33.56 million respectively.

By asset, ETH and BTC were the hardest hit: ETH liquidations totaled about $199 million and BTC about $110 million, together accounting for over 60%. At the time, BTC was trading at around $81,000 (24h -2.58%) and ETH at around $2,362 (24h -5.54%), with major cryptocurrencies broadly declining.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, 174,600 people were liquidated across the network, with total liquidations reaching $922 million. The largest single liquidation occurred on Binance's BTCUSDT pair, worth $12.03 million.
