DogeOS Opens Public Testnet, Supporting EVM-Compatible App Development with Test DOGE
PANews reported on October 1, citing CoinDesk, that DogeOS, an application-layer project for the Dogecoin ecosystem, has opened its public testnet. Developers can use test DOGE to build Ethereum-compatible applications such as trading, lending, and stablecoins, with testnet fees paid in test DOGE. Official documentation confirms the testnet is live, and users can obtain test assets through a cross-chain bridge or faucet. The network initially relies on a permissioned sequencer, a trusted execution environment, and a security committee; the team plans to propose OP_CHECKZKP through Dogecoin Core, ultimately enabling Dogecoin miners to verify zero-knowledge proofs. DogeOS was founded by the MyDoge team, and no mainnet launch date has been announced yet.
