Hypercall Achieves $592 Million in Options Volume Since June Launch
Hypercall, an on-chain options platform built on the Hyperliquid L1 blockchain, has reported a cumulative notional options volume of approximately $592 million since its launch on June 1, 2026. The platform's most popular product is options on the S&P 500 index, which have quickly become the leading offering by trading activity since their introduction on June 27, 2026. In September 2026 alone, Hypercall processed a record $536 million in notional volume, highlighting the growing interest in crypto-native equity products.
The options available on Hypercall are European-style and cash-settled, allowing traders to exercise them only at expiry. Settlement occurs in USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin, and the platform features no liquidations for long option positions, encouraging retail participation. Additionally, Hypercall's Standard Margin feature enables traders to short options, facilitating a two-sided market and enhancing liquidity.
Hypercall's founder, Jake Sylvestre, attributes the platform's success to its user-friendly interface, 24/7 access, and shared-margin hedging capabilities. Unlike traditional stock options that operate within exchange hours, Hypercall allows continuous trading, which is particularly appealing for equity index products. The platform has emerged as the largest on-chain equity options venue to date, demonstrating a significant shift in how traders engage with equity markets through cryptocurrency infrastructure.
