bStocks Assets on Binance Surpassed $1 billion Four Months After Launch

      • bStocks assets under management (AUM) on Binance surpassed $1 billion four months after launch.
      • Users converted more than $6 billion between bStocks and the underlying shares with no conversion fee.
      • In August 2026, 58% of bStocks trading volume took place outside regular U.S. stock market hours.

bStocks assets under management (AUM) on Binance surpassed $1 billion four months after the product launched in June 2026. According to Binance Research, this is the fastest result among products in the tokenized equities market.

At launch, users had access to five tickers. Since then, the lineup has expanded to nearly 100 instruments, including assets tied to artificial intelligence companies, the semiconductor industry, and sector ETFs.

bStocks’ growth comes amid the expansion of the broader tokenized equities market. According to Binance Research, since the start of 2026, the segment’s market capitalization has increased by 390.4%, making it the fastest-growing category of tokenized real-world assets (RWA).

As of October 2026, bStocks accounts for about a quarter of the tokenized equities market’s total capitalization.

Users Converted More Than $6 Billion Between bStocks and Shares

One of the key features of bStocks on Binance is the ability to convert tokenized instruments into the corresponding underlying shares and back at a 1:1 ratio, with no additional conversion fee.

According to Binance Research, by October 2026, the cumulative volume of these transactions exceeded $6 billion. That is more than six times the product’s current AUM.

The mechanism allows users to move between two formats of holding financial instruments depending on their chosen strategy.

In particular, bStocks can be used for trading outside standard U.S. stock market hours, or withdrawn to a compatible non-custodial wallet for further use in onchain applications. When needed, users can convert them into the underlying shares and back.

At the same time, bStocks are not shares of the relevant public companies and do not provide direct ownership rights in them. These instruments are tokenized securities in the form of certificates linked to specific financial assets.

Most Trading Volume Comes From After-Hours Sessions

Binance Research’s study also points to differences in how trading activity is distributed between bStocks and the traditional U.S. stock market.

In August 2026, only 42% of bStocks volume fell within regular U.S. trading hours. For ordinary U.S. equities, the comparable figure was 89.2%.

As a result, the remaining 58% of bStocks trading volume was generated during pre-market, after-hours, overnight sessions, and weekends.

Binance Research notes that this model allows users to react to earnings reports, regulatory decisions, and other major events that often occur after U.S. exchanges close.

Unlike the traditional stock market, where trade execution depends on the session schedule, tokenized instruments built on crypto infrastructure make it possible to adjust positions around the clock.

Use of bStocks in Onchain Finance

Beyond trading, Binance Research is also seeing growing use of bStocks in decentralized finance applications.

According to the study, bStocks usage in onchain finance reached 11.2%. That is about 3.8 percentage points above the average level for tokenized stocks.

One use case is the ability to use these instruments as collateral for borrowing.

At the end of June 2026, outstanding loans backed by bStocks amounted to 5.5% of the value of the posted collateral. By September 10, the figure had risen to 46.2%.

In absolute terms, this corresponds to roughly $3.1 million in loans secured by $6.8 million in assets.

At the same time, activity across the broader tokenized stock sector is increasing. According to Binance Research, in the third quarter of 2026, the volume of onchain transfers of these instruments exceeded $100 billion. For comparison, in the first quarter it was around $6 billion.

As a result, the quarterly figure increased by more than 16 times.

At the peak of activity in early August, bStocks accounted for more than 90% of the weekly onchain transfer volume for tokenized stocks.

Binance Research believes these metrics reflect the market’s shift from simply issuing tokenized instruments to using them in trading, lending, and other financial operations.

Bringing Crypto and Traditional Assets Together

According to the study, by August 2026, 58.5% of early bStocks users already had experience trading perpetual futures, regular stocks, or both types of instruments before their first bStocks transaction.

Binance Research links this metric to growing interest in combining crypto and traditional financial instruments within a single platform.

Users can manage different asset classes through a single account, convert tokenized instruments into the underlying shares, and access trading outside standard exchange sessions.

That said, despite rapid growth, the tokenized equities market is still at an early stage of development.

According to Binance Research, only about 0.0025% of the global stock market is currently represented on-chain.

In its base-case scenario, Binance researchers estimate the potential size of the tokenized equities market at $349 billion by 2030. Even penetration of less than 1% of the total global market could still mean a significant expansion of the segment.

The company views bStocks reaching $1 billion in AUM as a sign of demand for traditional financial instruments via crypto infrastructure. Further development of the segment will depend, among other things, on the availability of such products, a broader range of offerings, and their use cases in on-chain finance.

bStocks tokenized securities are available only to users who meet the established requirements, in approved jurisdictions, and exclusively on the secondary market.
