Injective Launches Innovative Stockdrop for Tokenized Stocks
Injective has introduced a new initiative called the "Stockdrop," allowing users to earn tokenized shares of well-known companies such as Nvidia, AMC, and Meta by burning their INJ tokens. This event commenced on September 23, 2026, and runs in conjunction with Injective's monthly Community BuyBack program, concluding on September 30. Participants will have an additional week to claim any tokenized stock rewards they receive during this period.
The Stockdrop operates on Injective's existing buyback framework, which has been active since late 2025. Users can commit their INJ tokens to the program, which are then permanently burned, thereby reducing the circulating supply. In return, participants receive a share of the ecosystem's revenue. The unique aspect of the Stockdrop is that every participating wallet has an equal chance of being randomly allocated a tokenized stock, regardless of the amount of INJ committed, ensuring a fair opportunity for all.
The available tokenized stocks include shares linked to companies like Snap, SPCX, and HIMS, and these equities are traded on the Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution designed for tokenized stocks. This infrastructure facilitates 24/7 trading and quicker settlement times compared to traditional equity markets. Previous buyback rounds have seen over 7.2 million INJ tokens burned, valued at approximately $55.5 million, with participants enjoying an average return of about 23.9% per round.
