Investors Withdrew over $548 Million from Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in Week

• Spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US saw $228.58 million in outflows over the week, with the largest outflow among individual funds recorded by BlackRock’s IBIT — $165.45 million.
• Ethereum ETFs posted $319.97 million in outflows, of which $298.97 million came from iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA).
• Among altcoin funds, NEAR ETFs recorded the largest inflows — $11.65 million, while SOL ETFs lost $25.52 million.

Between October 12 and October 16, 2026, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US recorded total outflows of $228.58 million, while Ethereum ETFs saw $319.97 million in outflows, according to SoSoValue data. Combined, the two segments lost more than $548 million across five trading sessions. Among individual Ethereum funds, BlackRock’s ETHA posted the biggest losses, while among ETFs based on other cryptocurrencies, NEAR ETFs led inflows.

Bitcoin ETFs Lost $228.58 Million

Over five trading sessions, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US lost $228.58 million. A negative result was recorded on three of the five days:

• October 12 — outflow of $65.4 million
• October 13 — inflow of $175.62 million
• October 14 — outflow of $261.46 million
• October 15 — inflow of $5.06 million
• October 16 — outflow of $82.39 million

The largest single-day outflow came on October 14 — $261.46 million. Among individual funds, BlackRock’s IBIT lost the most capital — $165.45 million. Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) posted the largest inflow among Bitcoin funds — $6.67 million.

Ethereum ETFs Lost Nearly $320 Million

Spot Ethereum ETFs in the US ended the reporting period with total outflows of $319.97 million. Negative momentum was observed across four of the five trading sessions:

• October 12 — outflow of $85.4 million
• October 13 — inflow of $24.84 million
• October 14 — outflow of $129.51 million
• October 15 — outflow of $60.22 million
• October 16 — outflow of $69.68 million

The largest single-day outflow was recorded on October 14 — $129.51 million. The bulk of the weekly losses came from BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), which shed $298.97 million. Meanwhile, Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) attracted $10.55 million — the biggest inflow among Ethereum ETFs over the reporting period.

Among ETFs based on other cryptocurrencies, the largest inflow over the reporting period was recorded by NEAR ETFs — $11.65 million. Positive dynamics were also shown by:

• LINK ETFs — $0.79 million
• DOT ETFs — $0.59 million

At the same time, capital outflows were recorded across several segments:

• SOL ETFs — $25.52 million
• ZEC ETFs — $19.15 million
• HYPE ETFs — $17.57 million
• XRP ETFs — $1.84 million
• HBAR ETFs — $0.56 million
• DOGE ETFs — $0.54 million
• BNB ETFs — $0.28 million

TRX, LTC, and AVAX ETFs ended the week with no capital flows.

In the Hong Kong market, spot SOL ETFs recorded outflows of 5,100 SOL.

As a reminder, a week earlier, crypto ETFs lost more than $1.2 billion: Bitcoin funds lost $681.1 million, and Ethereum ETFs — $542.07 million. Among altcoin funds, NEAR ETFs posted the largest inflows at $35.99 million.
