MEXC to Cease Operations for Users in Russia and Belarus
MEXC, a cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it will discontinue services for users located in Russia and Belarus. This decision affects a segment of its customer base, who will be notified individually regarding deadlines for closing their positions and withdrawing their assets from the platform.
Users who do not receive a notice from MEXC will still be able to continue using the exchange, but they must adhere to the platform's existing terms and conditions. The exchange has not provided specific reasons for this decision, nor has it disclosed the timeline for the cessation of services.
This move reflects ongoing regulatory pressures and geopolitical considerations affecting cryptocurrency operations in certain regions. MEXC's decision is part of a broader trend among cryptocurrency exchanges reassessing their service offerings in response to changing regulatory landscapes.
