Ostium Unveils Second Phase of Compensation Plan for Liquidity Providers
Ostium has announced an update regarding the second phase of its compensation plan aimed at liquidity providers who have incurred losses exceeding 1,000 USDC. This plan introduces two distinct compensation options for users who have not selected the Convenience Allocation. The first option, known as Default Plan A, allows for installment payments in USDC, funded by a combination of recovered funds, a share of revenue from the Ostium protocol and Gateway, and potential partner incentives.
The second option, referred to as Optional Plan B, enables eligible users to convert a portion of their unrecovered losses into equity in Ostium Labs, contingent upon meeting specific securities regulation requirements. This equity will be valued based on the next financing round and will grant users shares of the same class as the team, with a total holding percentage capped on a fully diluted basis.
The portal for the second phase is set to launch on October 30, allowing eligible users to claim their allocated funds from Plan A. However, users opting for equity conversion will forfeit the corresponding portion of losses from future installment payments under Plan A. Ostium has clarified that this compensation initiative is voluntary and does not guarantee full recovery of lost funds, with further implementation details still being finalized.
