Peter Schiff: SEC's tokenized stock announcement is bearish for Bitcoin; tokenized stocks are a more reliable store of value than Bitcoin

PANews reported on September 20 that economist and Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff said, "It is puzzling that Bitcoin surged sharply yesterday following the U.S. SEC's tokenized stock announcement. In fact, this news is bearish for Bitcoin, because Bitcoin now has to compete with tokenized securities. Compared to tokens backed by nothing, the digital ownership of tokenized assets backed by profitable, dividend-paying companies is a superior and more reliable store of value. Tokenized stocks have all the convenience advantages of Bitcoin, without the risk of a decentralized Ponzi scheme collapsing."
