Robinhood Chain Set for Growth Amid Revenue Decline
On October 20, a researcher from the cryptocurrency research institution Four Pillars, known as 100y, addressed concerns regarding the status of Robinhood Chain, asserting that it has not disappeared and is poised for future growth. The chain is scheduled to launch on July 1, 2026, and aims to establish itself as an on-chain financial network focused on tokenized stocks.
Despite a significant drop in revenue share from Robinhood's cryptocurrency business, which fell from 27.2% in the first quarter of 2025 to 12.6% in the first quarter of 2026, the ecosystem remains resilient. Data from The Rollup indicates that daily network fees peaked at approximately $8.27 million on September 4, but have since declined by over 99%, with mid-October fees ranging between $30,000 and $40,000.
As of the publication date, the Total Value Locked (TVL) in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem stands at around $1.1 billion, with significant contributions from the Steakhouse Financial curation and the Steakhouse USDG Vault. Stocks and ETFs represent more than half of the issued Real World Asset (RWA) tokens, valued at about $150 million. Trading volumes have remained robust, with daily figures consistently around $600 million to $700 million since early October. The future growth of Robinhood Chain will depend on various factors, including treasury scale, stock tokens, and the involvement of new builders in the ecosystem.
