Scroll to Transition into AI-Focused Network with Migration to Ethereum Mainnet
Scroll Governance Forum has announced plans to transform its operations by integrating artificial intelligence into its product development and operational processes. The initiative aims to streamline core chain operations, which previously required over 20 engineers, now being managed by a smaller team in collaboration with AI agents while ensuring usability and security standards are upheld.
The transformation will involve the development of an interconnected product stack, including the Compass iOS application, which will utilize a robust API to access various AI models and functions. Additionally, the CENO platform will provide a trust layer using zero-knowledge proofs to protect user credentials and privacy, while USX will facilitate payments and settlements. The Scroll network is expected to serve as a foundational trust and coordination layer for these innovations.
As part of this transition, Scroll's SCR token will migrate to the Ethereum mainnet to enhance accessibility and liquidity, with no changes to its supply or token economics. The overall transition is projected to take approximately nine months, with SCR continuing to function as a governance token. This announcement serves as a progress update, with further proposals regarding the network transformation to be presented separately.
