Yushu Technology Secures Major Bid for Humanoid and Quadruped Robots in China

Yushu Technology has emerged as a leading player in the Chinese robotics market by winning a significant bid for 136 units of medium and full-size humanoid and quadruped robots. This achievement is part of a broader trend in the domestic bidding landscape for embodied intelligent robots, which saw a total of 168 winning projects disclosed in August 2026, amounting to approximately 550 million yuan.

The company accounted for a substantial portion of the market, with its products featured in 55 procurement orders and 89 bids, representing about one-third of the total. The largest single order was linked to the Shanxi Taichu Embodied Intelligent Innovation R&D Center, valued at 122 million yuan, aimed at establishing a data collection and training center. Notably, this project alone constituted around 60% of the total order value.

While the majority of the projects were directed towards scientific research and education, making up nearly 80% of the total, applications in real-world scenarios such as power inspection, industrial inspection, cultural tourism, and firefighting represented less than 10%. This distribution highlights the growing focus on integrating robotics into various sectors in China.
