EUR/USD Exchange Rate Hits Lowest Point Since May 2025

The EUR/USD currency pair has fallen to a new low of 1.1155, marking its lowest level since May 2025. This decline follows a previous low of 1.11603 recorded last week. Currently, the pair is trading around 1.1159 after a rally attempt stalled at 1.1217, which coincided with the falling 100-hour moving average.

Market analysts indicate that the sellers regained control after the failed rally. The next significant target for the pair is 1.11296, which represents the 50% midpoint of the rally from the January 2025 low to the January 2026 high. This level is also near a swing low from mid-May, making it a critical area for traders to monitor for potential support.

For buyers to regain momentum, a move above the falling 100-hour moving average, currently near 1.12056, is essential. However, they would also need to surpass the 200-hour moving average at approximately 1.12308 to alleviate the ongoing selling pressure. The EUR/USD has not traded above this longer moving average since September 10, when it was around 1.1610, highlighting the persistent bearish trend.
