BNB Standard Corporation Appoints Alex Odagiu as CEO
BNB Standard Corporation (BNC) has appointed Alex Odagiu as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 19, 2026. Odagiu previously served as an investment partner at YZi Labs, where he was involved in Web3-related investments, including decentralized finance (DeFi), payments, and stablecoins. He joined YZi Labs in September 2021 and was promoted to investment partner in September 2025, during which he also acted as a mentor and judge for the BNB Chain MVB Accelerator.
Before his official appointment as CEO, Odagiu held the position of interim president and director at BNC starting in June 2026. His tenure at YZi Labs included participation in the EASY Residency incubation program and investments in various projects such as Avalon, Aspecta, and Aptos. Following his new role at BNC, Odagiu has resigned from all positions at YZi Labs, including his role on the investment committee.
The leadership change comes after YZi Labs and BNC reached an agreement earlier this year to resolve governance differences and facilitate management adjustments. Odagiu's extensive experience in the cryptocurrency sector is expected to guide BNC in its future endeavors.
