Cathie Wood: Investors Should Track AI Agent Capital Flows, Machine Payments May Become the Next AI Adoption Metric

PANews, October 6 – According to CrowdFundInsider, ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood said that when judging the next wave of technology trends, investors should shift from tracking developer time spent to tracking AI agents' spending behavior, i.e., observing which services autonomous software pays money to. As AI agents evolve from answering questions to autonomously executing tasks, the market needs to watch how these agents choose services, complete transactions, and where capital flows. In the future, payment activity generated by AI agents may reflect real technology adoption better than product launches themselves.

Cathie Wood predicts that in 2027, OpenAI, Anthropic, and NVIDIA will continue to be at the core of AI infrastructure competition. Computing power supply, energy, capital investment, and model reliability remain the key constraints on industry expansion. If AI agents have already begun autonomously choosing services and making payments, then tracking their capital flows may become an important way to measure AI commercialization.
