Circle's EURC Stablecoin Sees $4.8 Million Growth in Market Cap
Circle's euro-pegged stablecoin, EURC, has experienced a notable increase in its market capitalization, adding $4.8 million over the past week. As of October 19, 2026, EURC's market cap stands at approximately $497.12 million, with 443.11 million tokens currently in circulation. This growth reflects a significant expansion for EURC, which has seen its supply rise by 8.8% in the month leading up to mid-October, reaching €441 million.
The euro stablecoin market remains relatively small, with EURC commanding around 60% of the estimated total market, which ranges between $760 million and $810 million. This positions EURC as a dominant player in a segment that constitutes less than 0.3% of the global stablecoin supply, contrasting sharply with the USD stablecoin market, which exceeds $300 billion.
Launched in 2022, EURC is designed as a euro counterpart to Circle's USDC and is fully backed by euros held in reserve. The token is issued by Circle Internet Financial Europe SAS and is regulated by France's Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR). EURC is available on various blockchains, including Ethereum and Solana, and has been integrated into both centralized exchanges like Coinbase and Kraken, as well as decentralized finance platforms such as Aave and Uniswap.
