Ethereum Institutional Appoints David Duong as Head of US Operations
Ethereum Institutional has appointed David Duong as its Head of US, effective October 19, 2026. Duong, who previously served as the Global Head of Investment Research at Coinbase, will lead the organization's outreach to American financial institutions interested in exploring the potential of Ethereum. With over 20 years of experience in institutional markets research, including roles at major banks like HSBC and Deutsche Bank, Duong is expected to guide the group’s focus on tokenization, stablecoins, and on-chain infrastructure.
Established on July 1, 2026, Ethereum Institutional is an independent non-profit organization aimed at providing a neutral platform for financial institutions to engage with Ethereum. The organization has already formed over 500 institutional relationships and plans to conduct educational outreach, market intelligence, and industry events across major financial hubs such as New York, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Duong's appointment coincides with significant developments in traditional finance, including the launch of JPM Coin on Ethereum's Layer 1 network. His expertise in explaining macroeconomic conditions and market cycles will be crucial as Ethereum Institutional seeks to position itself as a key player in the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency and institutional finance.
