Doubao PR head denies layoff rumors, says it was only an organizational adjustment of responsibilities

PANews reported on September 24 that earlier reports claimed the Doubao general Session team had seen staff reductions. After the content spread, claims such as "Doubao layoffs" and "the dialogue team was cut in half" appeared online, and some even circulated internal employees lamenting that "Doubao is being marginalized." In response to the claims circulating online, Doubao PR head Liu Xing issued a statement saying the information was untrue. In fact, it was only an organizational adjustment of responsibilities.

Liu Xing explained that part of the functions of the Doubao general Session team were split off to the Doubao transaction and Doubao work teams, with the relevant staff transferred accordingly. Many employees still work on dialogue experience-related tasks. For example, the transaction team also optimizes the transaction dialogue experience. The team has fewer than 50 people, and the adjustment of responsibilities involved 11 people, of whom 3 left the company. Liu Xing stressed that expressions mentioned in some self-media reports, such as "layoffs at Doubao, which 200 million people use" and "the dialogue team was cut in half," are untrue.
