Google Stock Gets a Price Hike: See New Target

Alphabet’s Google stock (NASDAQ: GOOG) rose for three straight days this week but snapped its winning streak on Wednesday after dipping 0.61%. The search engine giant opened Thursday’s trading session at $339 and remains in the crosshairs of a price jump. The leading equity is consolidating in price and could be better suited to a rally. However, Alphabet’s announcement during its previous quarterly earnings report of increasing its AI spending from $180 billion to $205 billion for 2026 has dampened the mood in Wall Street circles.

Overspending in the AI sector has been a cause of concern for three years, as multinational giants have yet to see meaningful returns. While it has a backlog of $512 billion, the revenues have yet to flow into its kitty. Concerns about an increase in spending are rife going into 2027, as the AI competition intensifies. On the heels of the anxieties, investment banking firm Evercore ISI has provided a bullish price prediction for Google stock. The firm hiked its GOOG price target, assuring its clients that the equity has more steam than traders think.

Google Stock New Price Prediction From Evercore ISI

Mark Mahaney, the Senior Managing Director who heads Evercore ISI’s Internet Research team, wrote in a note to institutional clients on Wednesday (September 16, 2026), urging them to begin accumulating Google stock. The analyst has raised Google’s stock price target to $450. The previous target given by the firm was $420. Evercore ISI has increased GOOG’s target by $30, indicating bullishness on the leading global equity.

That would be a profit of around $110 per share if traders take an entry position in the equity today. It also records an uptick and a return on investment (ROI) of approximately 32% from its current price. Therefore, an investment of $1,000 could turn into $1,320 if the price prediction on Google stock turns out to be accurate.
