Kalshi Valuation Ranges from $22.8 Billion to $42.1 Billion, Says PitchBook Report

A recent report from PitchBook, a financial investment data firm, has provided a detailed valuation scenario for the market platform Kalshi. The report outlines a baseline valuation of approximately $30.4 billion, with a peak valuation of about $42.1 billion during favorable market conditions, and a pessimistic scenario placing the valuation at $22.8 billion. Kalshi recently secured $1 billion in Series F financing in May 2026, achieving a post-money valuation of $22 billion.

PitchBook projects that Kalshi's revenue could reach $6.4 billion by 2030, with adjusted profits estimated at $3.7 billion. The report highlights the importance of partnerships with platforms and market makers, such as Robinhood and Susquehanna, in helping Kalshi consolidate its market share. Currently, the sports prediction market contributes approximately 69.9% of Kalshi's event fee revenue, a figure that rises to 82.4% when including Exotics products, which are multi-event combinations.

Regulatory risks surrounding the sports prediction market are identified as a significant factor influencing Kalshi's valuation. Legal challenges from several U.S. states and Native American tribes regarding the legality of Kalshi's sports prediction products have led to inconsistencies in rulings among federal appellate courts, with the U.S. Supreme Court expected to address these issues in the coming year. Despite potential unfavorable outcomes, PitchBook suggests that Kalshi could adapt its business model through state-level licensing and the introduction of non-sports prediction products, although a decline in sports-related revenue would still adversely affect its growth prospects.
