Strive Acquires 1,800 Bitcoin, Becomes Fifth Largest Corporate Holder

Strive, Inc., an asset management firm based in Dallas, has significantly increased its Bitcoin holdings by acquiring an additional 1,800 BTC, bringing its total to 23,156 BTC. This latest purchase positions Strive as the fifth-largest corporate holder of Bitcoin globally, reflecting a rapid accumulation of assets over the past 18 months.

The firm, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker ASST, has seen its Bitcoin holdings grow from virtually zero at the beginning of 2025 to over 23,000 BTC by mid-2026. Notably, Strive held approximately 7,500 BTC at the end of 2025, which tripled to over 21,000 BTC by mid-2026 before the recent acquisition.

Strive's aggressive buying strategy has involved more than 29 separate transactions, including a significant purchase of 2,500 BTC in June 2026 following its acquisition of Semler Scientific. The latest batch of 1,110 BTC was acquired for around $81.5 million, averaging approximately $73,409 per coin, which resulted in an 11% surge in ASST shares after the announcement. The company has financed these purchases primarily through equity issuance, while maintaining cash reserves of $171.9 million and ensuring that its Bitcoin holdings are free from debt encumbrances.
