UK Reform Party plans to set up crypto industry union to circumvent donation ban

PANews reported on September 20, citing the Daily Mail, that Arron Banks, a senior aide to the UK Reform Party, said that if the Labour government bans foreign donations, the Reform Party will circumvent the restrictions by setting up a crypto industry union. The Labour government previously pledged to introduce new residency requirements in response to the £72 million in cryptocurrency billionaire donations (from Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne) received by the Reform Party last week, which would retroactively invalidate the donations. Banks said the Reform Party plans to establish the "Allied Computer & Crypto Workers Union (ACCAW)" to represent workers in the IT, AI and cryptocurrency industries. The union is certified in the UK and can legally receive funds. An alternative plan is to launch a campaign encouraging Reform Party supporters to join existing unions in large numbers to achieve a reverse takeover.
