Binance Enables 1:1 Stock Tokenization Through bStocks Platform, Excluding U.S. Users

      TLDR

      • Binance recently highlighted its bStocks service, allowing qualified traders to tokenize eligible equities into blockchain-based assets at 1:1 ratios.
      • Nest Trading Limited facilitates the stock-to-token conversions without charging conversion fees.
      • Each bStock token corresponds to one share held under regulated custody, though holders don’t receive traditional shareholder privileges.
      • Corporate actions like dividend payments and stock splits are processed through an on-chain multiplier mechanism instead of conventional cash distributions.
      • The service excludes U.S. residents entirely, while Binance operates multiple promotional initiatives for the product extending through November 2026.

On October 6, Binance published a message on X redirecting attention toward its bStocks tokenization platform. The announcement didn’t introduce a novel service but instead served as a reminder about the integration between its traditional stock offerings and tokenized equivalents.

The bStocks platform enables qualified participants to transform eligible equity holdings into digital tokens on the blockchain. Each conversion maintains parity with the underlying asset. According to Binance, no fee applies to these conversions.

      How The Conversion Process Works

Nest Trading Limited operates the tokenization infrastructure. Traders have multiple pathways: they can tokenize during the initial stock purchase, convert existing holdings, or acquire bStocks directly via Binance’s spot trading market.

The platform typically operates continuously. However, conversions may temporarily halt during system upgrades or when processing corporate events affecting the underlying securities.

Reversing a bStock into traditional equity format requires maintaining an approved Stock Account. Traders must satisfy specific account criteria and consent to applicable terms before completing such transactions.

Precision discrepancies may occur during tokenization. While Binance tracks equity positions to nine decimal places, bStocks accommodate only eight decimals. Any fractional remainder beyond the eighth decimal position remains with the certificate issuer as a mathematical adjustment rather than a charged fee.

Binance launched the bStocks platform in June. Available tokens represent major corporations such as Nvidia, Tesla, Circle, Micron, and Sandisk.

      Ownership Rights And Corporate Actions

Holding bStock tokens differs fundamentally from direct equity ownership. BTech Holdings Limited, operating within the Binance corporate structure, issues these digital certificates.

Token holders don’t acquire direct equity stakes in the reference companies. Binance’s disclosures explicitly note this limitation applies to all listings, including major entities like Tesla, Nvidia, and Apple.

BTech Holdings bStocks appear on the securities register maintained by the Abu Dhabi Global Market Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The registry includes certificates representing Adobe, AMD, Alphabet, Amazon, and Apple.

Dividend handling deviates from conventional brokerage procedures. When cash dividends are distributed, they’re typically reinvested into the corresponding stock after applicable taxes and fees, then incorporated into the bStock balance via what Binance terms the multiplier system.

Stock splits utilize comparable on-chain methodology. For instance, in a 2-for-1 split scenario, bStock holdings would double in quantity while the per-token price would decrease proportionally.

U.S. residents face absolute restrictions from accessing bStocks. Binance clarifies these products lack registration under United States securities regulations.

bStock ownership doesn’t confer voting privileges, corporate inspection rights, or access to shareholder communications from the underlying companies.

After tokenization, bStocks gain portability beyond the Binance ecosystem. Eligible users can transfer them as BEP-20 tokens to compatible wallets on BNB Smart Chain, following eligibility verification and sanctions screening.

Transfer operations may incur blockchain network charges. bStocks also support trading on Binance’s spot market beyond traditional equity market operating hours.

      Additional Conversion Programs And Promotions

Binance currently operates a distinct promotional initiative permitting conversion of certain third-party tokenized securities into bStocks. This program maintains 1:1 parity without fees through October 11, 2026, though daily conversion caps apply.

Eligible third-party tokens within this promotion represent Tesla, Strategy, Coinbase, and Circle. These external tokens cannot participate in direct spot trading on Binance under the program’s structure.

Also on October 6, Binance unveiled an incentive campaign targeting new bStocks users. Eligible participants completing minimum $50 worth of qualifying trades can claim a portion of a 100 SPCXB token voucher reward pool.

A parallel reward tier benefits users establishing automated recurring bStocks conversions, featuring a dedicated 10 SPCXB allocation. The complete promotional window extends from October 6 through November 2, 2026.
