Allium Launches Stablecoin Tracking Function on Bloomberg Terminals
Allium, an enterprise blockchain analytics platform, has introduced a new function called RWAS on Bloomberg terminals, enabling institutional users to track stablecoin activity across more than 150 blockchains from a single interface. This tool provides comprehensive metrics including stablecoin supply figures, transfer volumes, wallet balances, and circulation metrics, all presented in a consistent format regardless of the underlying blockchain.
The RWAS function standardizes data inputs and adds context such as entity labels and geographic attribution before it reaches users. It differentiates between circulating and non-circulating supply and separates adjusted transfer volumes from raw data. Allium claims its data achieves a 99.999% agreement rate with raw on-chain sources, a level of accuracy that is crucial for institutional compliance teams.
Bloomberg has been utilizing Allium's data for stablecoin volume reporting since at least 2024, and the launch of RWAS formalizes and expands this existing relationship. The new function is part of Bloomberg's broader Real-World Asset (RWA) data suite, categorizing stablecoins as a distinct asset class.
The demand for institutional-grade stablecoin data is increasing, driven by advancing regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions. Compliance teams require reliable issuance and supply data to meet existing and upcoming reporting requirements. An integrated data feed from Bloomberg, backed by documented accuracy metrics, offers a more appealing solution for compliance officers compared to custom data pipelines.
