AMD Achieves Historic Milestone with $1 Trillion Market Value

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has reached a significant milestone, with its market capitalization surpassing $1 trillion for the first time. This achievement follows a 9.5% increase in its stock price, which rose to over $613 during trading. AMD now joins an exclusive group of semiconductor companies that have achieved a market value exceeding $1 trillion.

The surge in AMD's stock price is attributed to its aggressive expansion in artificial intelligence (AI) computing capabilities. The company has been enhancing its partnerships with major players such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta, while also launching new products like the MI400 series GPUs and Helios rack-level AI systems. These developments have contributed to rapid growth in AMD's data center business, with the company's stock price increasing by a remarkable 186% since the start of 2026.

In contrast, AMD's competitor Intel also experienced a rise in its stock price, which increased by 10.89% to reach $120.43 per share, resulting in a total market capitalization of $636.6 billion. Despite this growth, Intel's market value remains significantly lower than that of AMD, highlighting the competitive landscape within the semiconductor industry.
