Global Financial Institutions Invest in OKX, Blurring Lines Between Crypto and Traditional Finance
At the OKX NOW Global Products and Ecosystem Conference held in Singapore, it was reported that several major global financial institutions are making equity investments in the cryptocurrency exchange OKX. Notable investors include the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the New York Stock Exchange, Standard Chartered Bank, Ripple, and Circle, among others.
The significance of these investments extends beyond mere capital infusion. Industry expert Star emphasized that the future will not see a division between cryptocurrency finance and traditional finance. Instead, he predicts a convergence where every cryptocurrency company will venture into traditional finance, and traditional financial institutions will increasingly invest in the cryptocurrency sector. This trend indicates that the two financial worlds are merging into a single system.
