OKX Positioned for Mainstream Cryptocurrency Adoption by 2025
At the OKX NOW Global Product and Ecosystem Conference held in Singapore, a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency industry, Star, announced that the sector is expected to enter a mainstream phase starting in 2025. He outlined the evolution of the industry through four distinct stages: initial geek exploration, the formation of financial markets, initial coin offerings (ICOs) and decentralized finance (DeFi) experiments, and the current focus on compliance construction.
Star highlighted that OKX, a major cryptocurrency exchange, has secured licenses or is under regulation in several key markets, including the United States, Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Australia, Brazil, and Turkey. This regulatory framework positions OKX favorably as the industry transitions to a more mainstream presence.
Additionally, Star revealed that Deloitte has been appointed as OKX's global auditing firm, making the exchange one of the few international platforms currently audited by a Big Four accounting firm. This development is seen as a significant step towards enhancing trust and credibility in the cryptocurrency market.
