PANews, October 18 — According to a report by Cailian Press, OpenAI is positioning itself in the humanoid robot R&D arena, with CEO Sam Altman disclosing progress on the relevant project, which will focus on developing the robot's intelligent systems as its core direction. Based on Altman's forecast, OpenAI is expected to unveil an impressive demonstration prototype in 2027, but it will still take several years before humanoid robots truly reach public, real-world application. At this stage, the project remains far from a formally commercialized product, and details such as the specific content of the prototype demonstration, the robot's appearance, and the timing of public access have not yet been announced.
