Reddit to end RSS support on November 13, plans to shut down public API in March 2027
PANews reported on October 1 that Reddit announced it will gradually phase out RSS feed support, saying RSS has become a common entry point for large-scale scraping and automation abuse. RSS support will end on November 13.
In addition, Reddit plans to shut down its public API in March 2027 and push developers and third-party apps to migrate to its Developer Platform. Reddit previously said it would gradually restrict new public API requests to strengthen control over data scraping and abuse.
