US Stock Market Futures Show Modest Gains Amid Rising Bond Yields
US stock market futures are showing slight increases as of September 21, 2026. E-mini S&P 500 contracts have risen approximately 0.1%, while Nasdaq-100 futures have gained around 0.6%. These movements come against a backdrop of rising global bond yields, with the yield on the US 10-year Treasury note increasing by about 6.8 basis points, which is expected to exert pressure on borrowing costs for both households and businesses.
