Animoca Brands and Franklin Templeton Collaborate to Enhance NUVA's Tokenized Asset Offerings

Animoca Brands has entered into a strategic partnership with Franklin Templeton to expand institutional access to tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) through its NUVA vault marketplace. Announced on October 8, 2026, this collaboration aims to broaden the range of assets available on NUVA, which is designed to facilitate the tokenization of various asset classes, including cultural assets.

NUVA, which launched on the Ethereum Mainnet on May 13, 2026, operates as a non-custodial platform, allowing users to maintain control of their assets. The platform's vault tokens adhere to the ERC-20 standard, enabling seamless integration with other decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. As of late September 2026, assets on the Provenance Blockchain, which NUVA utilizes, have recorded over $30 billion in total value locked (TVL).

The partnership will also involve the co-authorship of a four-part research series exploring the convergence of traditional finance and DeFi. Franklin Templeton, which manages approximately $1.8 trillion in assets, brings significant experience to the table, having previously developed platforms like BENJI and the OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund. This collaboration is expected to lower barriers for traditional financial firms looking to engage with on-chain markets, particularly through the inclusion of SEC-registered products such as Figure Technologies’ YLDS stablecoin.
