French National Assembly committee reviewing 10 cryptocurrency amendments, with stablecoin exchange tax already passed

PANews, October 9 – According to Journal du Coin, the Finance Committee of the French National Assembly has proposed ten cryptocurrency-related amendments in the 2027 budget bill. The Finance Committee has been reviewing these amendments since October 7: three have been passed and one has been rejected. Among them, measures such as taxing stablecoin exchange transactions, an exit tax on crypto assets, and a 10-year carryforward of crypto asset losses have been approved by the committee. The proposal to extend the personal wealth tax to crypto assets was rejected, while some self-custody wallet declaration and platform penalty measures are still under review. None of the above measures have officially become law yet and still require further deliberation.
