Josh Kushner Enters Global Billionaires List with $17.5 Billion Wealth

Josh Kushner, the founder of the venture capital firm Thrive Capital, has made his debut in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with an estimated wealth of $17.5 billion. This marks a significant milestone for the 41-year-old entrepreneur, placing him among the top 500 wealthiest individuals globally for the first time.

This year, Kushner has been involved in several high-profile deals, including financing for the record $12.5 billion acquisition of the Los Angeles Lakers. Thrive Capital has also participated in notable investments in major companies such as Amazon and Shopify. Additionally, the firm has raised over $2 billion aimed at acquiring companies in sectors like accounting and information technology, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence into their operations.

Thrive Capital, established 16 years ago, is transitioning from its traditional role of investing in startups and growth-stage private companies to becoming a public market investor, holding long-term trophy assets. The firm has also been linked to significant deals, including a failed agreement related to FIFA and the anticipated IPO of SpaceX.
