Celestia Launches Fibre, Enabling Direct Validator Uploads for Rollups

Celestia has launched its new feature, Fibre, which facilitates direct uploads from validators for rollups. This initial release supports blob sizes of up to 128 MiB and allows for 200 Fibre submissions per block. The implementation utilizes smaller uploads and operates on a slower block cadence compared to its terabit benchmark, marking a significant step in enhancing the scalability of blockchain applications.

The introduction of Fibre is expected to improve the efficiency of rollup operations, which are essential for scaling decentralized applications. By enabling direct uploads, Celestia aims to streamline the process for validators, potentially increasing the overall throughput of the network. This development is part of Celestia's ongoing efforts to innovate within the blockchain infrastructure space.
