Crypto exchange MEXC will stop providing services to users from Russia and Belarus. The company said the decision was driven by the need to comply with global regulatory requirements, noting that it is linked to a decision by Canada’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

MEXC said that users affected by the restrictions will receive individual notifications with information on timelines and the procedure for closing positions and withdrawing assets.

The exchange assured users that assets remain safe. Users who have not received a relevant notification can continue using the platform under the current terms of service.

The exchange also warned about phishing risks. According to MEXC, company representatives do not request payments, login credentials, seed phrases, or asset transfers via direct messages. To get up-to-date information, users are advised to rely only on MEXC’s official channels.

As a reminder, on October 16, 2026, crypto exchange Bitget updated its terms of use and added Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan to its list of prohibited countries. Residents of these countries will no longer be able to use the platform. The restrictions also apply to a number of other countries, including the United States, France, Germany, and Japan.
