      China Denies Allegations of AI-Driven Cyber Attacks on South Korean Financial Institutions

      On October 8, Mao Ning, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed allegations made by the American cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike. The company claimed that Chinese individuals and institutions utilized artificial intelligence tools to conduct cyber attacks against financial institutions in South Korea.

      During a regular press conference, Mao Ning responded to the accusations by stating that she was not familiar with the specific details of the situation. She emphasized that China opposes hacking activities and is committed to legally combating such actions. Mao also condemned the spread of false information for political purposes.

      Mao highlighted the significant impact of artificial intelligence on cybersecurity and called for enhanced international cooperation and dialogue. She urged the global community to establish new international regulations to collectively safeguard cybersecurity.
