Crypto Trader Frogman Loses Over $4 Million in Hack During TOKEN2049
Crypto trader Frogman reported a significant loss of over $4 million after two of his digital wallets were hacked while he attended the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore. The incident, confirmed on October 7, 2026, involved the swift movement of stolen funds through various privacy tools, complicating tracking efforts.
On-chain analysts, including EmberCN, alerted the community to suspicious transactions approximately five hours before Frogman publicly acknowledged the breach. The stolen assets, which included nine different tokens, were quickly converted into Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), and Solana (SOL). The largest losses stemmed from 1.43 million BP tokens, valued at around $1.77 million, followed by 13.96 million MarsCoin worth approximately $1.55 million, and about 3.7 million Cash Cat tokens valued between $510,000 and $515,000.
Frogman expressed uncertainty regarding how the breach occurred and thanked those assisting with the investigation. Despite the substantial personal loss, analysts noted that the incident did not have an immediate impact on the market prices of the affected cryptocurrencies, which remain liquid. The rapid conversion of stolen assets highlights ongoing security concerns within the cryptocurrency trading community.
