Robinhood Chain Achieves 74% Market Share on Zerion Apps in Initial Two Months
Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer-2 network designed for tokenized stocks, has rapidly established itself as the leading trading platform on Zerion's suite of applications since its launch on July 1, 2026. Within just two months, it accounted for approximately 74.5% of daily trades on Zerion, a level of dominance that has surpassed initial expectations for a newly launched chain.
The majority of trading activity on Robinhood Chain has been driven by Uniswap, a decentralized exchange, which has facilitated nearly three-quarters of all trades. From the outset, Robinhood Chain has maintained a strong presence, ranking first in trading volume on Zerion for 55 out of its first 62 days of operation, consistently holding the top position since July 8.
The integration of Zerion's wallet infrastructure has played a crucial role in this rapid adoption, providing users with seamless access to balance tracking and trading history. This ease of use has likely contributed to a significant increase in total token positions on the chain, which grew by 48 times during the initial two months. Notably, 95% of stock token holders on Robinhood Chain also possess speculative tokens, indicating a user base that blends traditional equity investment with cryptocurrency speculation.
However, the heavy reliance on a single Uniswap hook for a substantial portion of trading raises concerns about potential vulnerabilities. If this specific protocol were to encounter technical difficulties or if governance changes were to occur, a significant portion of Robinhood Chain's trading volume could be at risk. The network, built using Arbitrum's Orbit stack, aims to serve users in over 120 countries, addressing the limited access to U.S. equities that many face globally.
