XRP ETFs Experience $1.84 Million in Outflows, Ending 13-Week Inflow Streak
For the week ending October 16, 2026, US spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded net outflows of $1.84 million, marking the first week of negative flows since mid-July. This downturn ended a 13-week streak of consecutive inflows that had persisted since early July.
The significant outflow was primarily driven by a single withdrawal of $2.47 million from Canary Capital's XRPC fund on October 16. This withdrawal alone exceeded the total net outflow for the week, suggesting that without this transaction, the overall week could have concluded with positive inflows. Other sessions during the week saw minimal activity, with a mid-week gain of approximately $740,400.
Since their launch in November 2025, US spot XRP ETFs have accumulated around $1.8 billion in cumulative inflows. The recent outflow represents roughly one-tenth of a percent of this total. The current net assets across these products are estimated to be between $1.47 billion and $1.57 billion, reflecting fluctuations in the value of the underlying XRP holdings since the initial inflows.
The broader cryptocurrency market also faced challenges, with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana ETFs reporting withdrawals during the same period. XRP traded near $1.30, indicating that the performance of XRP funds is closely tied to overall market sentiment and risk appetite in the crypto sector.
