Bitcoin Approaches Breakeven Threshold, Capital-Weighted Cost Basis of $80,500 in Focus

PANews, October 10 — Crypto analyst Darkfost stated that Bitcoin's current trend is quite similar to the market pattern from late 2025 to early 2026, with the price oscillating around the capital-weighted cost basis.

According to the analysis, this capital-weighted cost basis currently stands at approximately $80,500. Unlike the realized price, which only calculates the purchase price, this metric weights holding costs according to the scale of invested capital, making it an important zone for gauging the market's average profit and loss status.

Darkfost noted that the current zone is a key hub where investors are on average at the tipping point between profit and loss, and market uncertainty may prompt more investors to take action. This level is still acting as support for now, but its subsequent movement still needs to be closely watched.
