Chicago Board Options Exchange Expands Trading Hours for U.S. Stock Options

Cboe Global Markets, the parent company of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe) in the United States, has announced an expansion of trading hours for certain U.S. stock options and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This change introduces new pre-market and after-hours trading periods, allowing investors to trade from 7:30 to 9:25 AM ET and from 4:00 to 4:15 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

The expanded trading hours will include popular individual stocks such as Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Robinhood, and Intel, as well as major ETFs like SPY, QQQ, and GLD. In total, the new trading schedule will encompass 29 underlying assets, providing investors with greater flexibility and access to the market outside of regular trading hours.
