THORChain Suspends ZEC Swaps Following Security Issue
THORChain has announced a temporary halt on Zcash (ZEC) swaps due to a bug that resulted in the slashing of vaults. Onchain records indicate that approximately 140 RUNE tokens were deducted from 18 node accounts as a consequence of this issue.
To address the vulnerability, THORChain is planning to implement a fix in the upcoming v3.21 upgrade, which is scheduled for around October 23, 2026. The team is working to ensure the security and stability of the platform before resuming ZEC swaps.
