Phantom Wallet Integrates BNB Chain for In-App Trading

Phantom wallet has announced the integration of native support for BNB Chain, allowing users to trade directly within the app. This feature, which was made available on October 1, 2026, enables users to hold, send, and trade tokens on BNB Chain without the need to switch to a separate Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) wallet.

Previously, users with BNB Chain assets were directed to use EVM-compatible wallets like MetaMask for management. The new update enhances functionality beyond basic storage, offering in-app trading features such as token swaps and perpetual contracts powered by Hyperliquid, while maintaining a non-custodial setup where users retain control of their private keys.

This integration positions Phantom as a multi-chain wallet, joining other networks like Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon. The addition of BNB Chain provides a seamless experience for users who were already utilizing Phantom for Solana, eliminating the need for additional wallets to manage their BNB Chain holdings. Furthermore, the inclusion of leveraged trading options through Hyperliquid may attract a broader user base, although it also introduces risks associated with liquidation.
