Solana Reports Record Monthly Active Programs in September 2026
In September 2026, Solana recorded over 8,400 unique active programs, marking a new high for the blockchain network. These programs, which function similarly to smart contracts, facilitate various activities including swaps, bridges, and gaming applications. The surge in developer activity reflects a growing interest in the Solana ecosystem.
The number of funded wallets on Solana increased by 38.5% month-over-month, reaching 16.1 million. Funded wallets are distinguished by their active balances, contrasting with abandoned addresses that inflate user counts. Additionally, daily active stablecoin addresses rose to 888,000, representing a significant 269% increase compared to the previous year.
Monthly app revenue on Solana hit $180 million in September, the highest figure in nine months, with daily revenue peaking at $7.935 million on September 12. This revenue accounted for 32% of the total blockchain app revenue for the month. The most active programs included arbitrage and sandwich bots, DeFi applications, and gaming programs, with standout projects such as Pump.fun AMM and Jupiter Aggregator v6 leading the way.
However, not all data sources agree on the program count. While some reports indicate a record number of active programs, others, such as SolanaFloor, reported 7,699 active programs for the month, the highest since August 2025. Of the approximately 42,500 programs deployed on Solana, only about 3,118 demonstrated sustained user interaction during this period.
