China's Foreign Ministry Responds to U.S. Ban on Chinese AI Products

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China has expressed strong opposition to the recent U.S. government ban on Chinese artificial intelligence products, specifically targeting DeepSeek. During a regular press conference, spokesperson Mao Ning addressed concerns raised by the U.S. regarding the potential transfer of sensitive data through these technologies.

Mao emphasized that China opposes the broad interpretation of national security and the politicization of technological and economic matters. She affirmed that the Chinese government will take necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of its enterprises affected by the U.S. restrictions. The U.S. government's decision to prohibit federal agencies from using DeepSeek products has raised significant concerns in China regarding the implications for international trade and technology cooperation.
